Ivalojoen Kultala tupa, coordinates: Euref-Fin (~ WGS84) lat: 68° 30.3636' lon: 26° 40.9352'  ETRS-TM35FIN: N: 7599320 E: 487007.

The open wilderness hut is situated on the north bank of the River Ivalojoki about 7 km west of the River Sotajoki's mouth, about 100 metres downstream from the Kultala museum cabin.

The wilderness hut was built in 1996.

  • Pets are allowed in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
  • There is a rental hut in the same building.
  • Safety on hiking.
  • There are waste bins at the wilderness hut, but we ask that hikers bring their own litter out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
