Starting Point for the Trail

The marked circular trail of Western oasis (Läntinen keidas) starts and finishes at the Simonsaari parking area (Vastilantie 886, Pyhtää). The trail leading to Moronvuori Day-use Hut starts at the end of the road Suolinnantie (Suolinnantie 740, Pyhtää) and finishes by the hut.
Circle Trail

The nature trail of Western oasis is a 2,5 km long circular trail, which starts at the Simonsaari parking area. The name of the trail, Western oasis, origins from the ombrotrophic raised bogs that are found in the Valkmusa national park. There is a nature observation tower by the trail. From it visitors can admire the vast mires.

The (1,1 km) trail that leads to the Moronvuori Day-use Hut starts at the end of the road Suolinnantie and finishes by the Moronvuori Day-use Hut (in Finnish).

Check for Warnings
When wildfire warnings (en.ilmatieteenlaitos.fi) are in effect, fire is only allowed at covered campfire sites that have a flue. A fire can be also lit in fireplaces at wilderness and other huts. Always use extreme caution when handling fire. The one who lights a fire is always responsible for its safe use. Please note, that making fire at these campfire sites can be banned locally.
