Archipelago National Park

Winter landscape. Two buildings in the background and a boathouse at the shore. There is no ice on the water.

The drawn emblem of Archipelago national park. A common a white-tailed eagle with a lighthouse and a sea landscape in the background is depicted inside the oval symbol. The text Saaristomeri kansallispuisto - national park wraps around the outer edge of the emblem.
The labyrinthine Archipelago Sea, off Southwestern Finland, has more islands than any other archipelago in the world. It has also been described as the world's most beautiful archipelago. The archipelago scene varies from larger islands dotted with rustic pastures and vibrant villages, to wild and windswept rocky islets. Scheduled ferry services take locals and trippers to the main islands all year round.

Suitability: Since the national park is only accessible by sea, a visit requires thorough planning. No services for visitors with mobility difficulties.

The area is managed by Metsähallitus, Parks & Wildlife Finland, Coastal and Metropolitan Area.
