Kylmäluoma Hiking Area

During a forest fire warning (ilmatieteenlaitos.fi), fire is only allowed at covered campfire sites that have a flue or in fireplaces at huts, but only with extreme caution. The one who lights the fire is always responsible for its safety. Making a fire at campfire sites can be banned locally.

The Kylmäluoma Hiking Area has been closed for the time being due to storm damage in 22.6. Trees have fallen on the buildings and paths in the area and their clearing has begun.

Kylmäluoma has about 90 clear-watered lakes and ponds well stocked with fish, making it a perfect destination for fishing fanatics and families alike. While walking along Kylmäluoma's many scenic trails listen out for the haunting calls of red-throated and black-throated divers echoing across the lakes.

Suitability: Excellent for families with children. The Kylmäluoma camping ground is accessible.

The area is managed by Metsähallitus, Parks & Wildlife Finland, Ostrobothnia–Kainuu.
