Rules for Using Wilderness Huts

Open Wilderness Huts

  • For hikers and skiers as resting points or for overnight stays, only for 1 or 2 nights.
  • No overnight stays for business customers or larger groups.
  • Larger groups (>5) should use their own tents or reservable and rental wilderness huts as overnight accommodation.
  • Please make room for visitors arriving after you.
  • Be considerate of other visitors.
  • Huts are small, so please leave large backpacks outside the hut.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the hut.
  • Do not use a gas cooker for warming the hut.
  • Spare firewood.
  • Keep the hut and its surroundings tidy.
  • Before leaving bring chopped firewood for the next visitors.
  • Empty the water bucket, and take the ashes out of the wood stove with the metal container to the place outside marked for them.
  • Leave no trace in nature. Dispose of waste properly. Follow the hut's rules for waste management.
  • Before leaving, close all the hut's doors and windows properly.

Day-use Hut

  • Only for daytime use as a resting point for hikers and skiers.
  • For business customers only by permission.

  • Overnight reservation is always required. Booking entitles one customer to only one bed.
  • Other beds may have been reserved by other hikers.
  • Be considerate of other visitors.
