This wooden day-trip hut is situated at the southeast end of Lake Iso-Helvetinjärvi, on the lake shore heading to the north. Helvetinkolu Gorge, the National Park's most popular tourist sight is located near the hut.

A fireplace, a wood stove and a boat stage.

Notices

There is no well at Helvetinkolu day trip hut.

It is allowed to bring pets in the hut.

Not for overnight stays!

Safety on hiking

Waste Management

The principles of Hiking Without Littering are practised in Helvetinjärvi National Park. This means that visitors are asked to take with them everything they brought into the area.

There is a dry toilet at the day trip hut. Visitors can leave compost waste in the toilet. Burnable waste may be burnt in the hut's fire place or at the campfire site next to the hut. When there is a forest fire warning in effect you may only light a fire in the hut's fireplace.
