Mustavuori, Rental Campfire Hut

Campfire hut , 25 m², seats 20 people. On the benches or the wooden floor there is sleeping space for five people.

A hexagonal log hut is at the edge of a fenced yard. The door is open.

The small yard at Mustavuori Rental Campfire Hut is fenced. There are two gates in the fence, one to the hiking trails (pictured) and the other to the path leading to the pier. A small, black wood stove is in the middle of the hut. There is a cooking surface on top of the stove, and it is surrounded by a stone counter.

The Mustavuori rental campfire hut is located on the Kuutinlahti lakeshore, just beside the Kaakkurinkierros hiking trail.

Price group A (1.11.–31.12.2022 and 17.2.–14.5.2023 and 16.10.–31.1.2023): 90 € (incl. VAT 10 %). 
Price group B (15.5.–15.10.2023): 80 € (incl. VAT 10 %). 

Reservable February–December
Rental time 14:00–12:00.

Keys

Keys to the rental campfire hut will be placed in the key box next to the door of the hut. A 4-digit key combination for opening the key box will be sent to you attached to your reservation confirmation. Leave the keys in the same key box when you leave after your stay.
Please note that the door will be get locked automatically. It’s recommended to keep the key in the key box.

By Car

Nearest parking areas is Saarijärvi parking area (approximately 4 kms to Mustavuori), Kuismantie 990, Kouvola (Road 368). Space for approximately 60 cars. During the winter maintenance period, the parking area is smaller.
There’s no road access with any motor vehicle to the Mustavuori hut.

Facilities

A wood-heated stove in the hut.
Broad benches by the walls, wooden floor.
Pots and pans for stove and for campfire.
Campfire site and a picnic table.
Locked woodshed, firewood and an axe.
A dry toilet (not-composting)
Drinking water well is located right next to the yard.

Notices

There is no electricity or lightning.
Dishwashing liquid, spices, candles, fire-making equipment and toilet paper are not included.
In winter it takes plenty of time and wood before the hut is properly warm.
The hut must always be cleaned after use. Smoking is prohibited in the hut.
Dogs and other pets are not allowed in this campfire hut.

There are no waste-bins or recycling points in the park or parking areas. Make sure you leave no litter or other traces of your visit.
Biodegradable waste like food scraps can not be placed into the chemical toilets.
Small amounts of clean paper and cardboard can be used as kindling in a campfire. Take all other waste out of the area.
