The wilderness hut is situated on the bank of the River Rautuoja on the west side of Outtakka Fell near Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park's western boundary. There is no marked trail leading to the hut.

Facilities

A stove, a gas cooker, a dry toilet and a wood shed.

Notices

As the location of the hut is very remote it is not easy to get there.

Pets are permitted in the hut, but only in case that other visitors agree with it.

Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours. Take also your own toilet paper.

Waste Management

There are no waste management services at the hut. The goal of the National Park is to be a litter-free area and hikers are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Recycling points can be found at Yllästunturi Visitor Centre Kellokas, Pallastunturi Visitor Centre and Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
