Palovartijan tupa Open Wilderness Hut
This open wilderness hut was previously a fire guard's home. It is situated at the top of Pookivaara Hill in Rokua National Park. It is on Keisarinkierros Hiking Trail (Emperor's Circle Trail) about 2 km south from the Wilderness Hotel Rokuanhovi and ski stadium. The hut was built in 1936 and functioned as a fire guard hut up to the year 1975.

Facilities
A stove and two bunk beds.
Notices
- Hikers must bring their own drinking water. The water quality of the well situated on the grounds of the hut is not monitored.
- Pets are not permitted in the hut.
- The hut is tiny and the beds are short for an adult.

Waste Management
There are not waste bins at the hut. Hikers are adviced to take away everything you brought along. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.

Overnighting
Many kinds of Huts for the Hiker. Please note, that it is not allowed for big groups or commercial groups to overnight in Open Wilderness Huts and in Day-use Huts.
