The wilderness hut is situated by the Hetta-Pallas Trail, 7 km from Hetta.

Facilities

Fireplace, gas cooker, a dry toilet and a wood shed.

Notices

The peak seasons for the hut are Easter holidays and the autumn´s ruska season.

There is a service hut on the grounds, which houses a café during spring season.

Pets are not permitted in the hut.

Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours. Take also your own toilet paper.

Waste Management

There are no waste management services at the hut. The goal of the National Park is to be a litter-free area and hikers are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Recycling points can be found at Yllästunturi Visitor Centre Kellokas, Pallastunturi Visitor Centre and Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
