Mountain biking

There are no trails reserved only for mountain biking in Sanginjoki, but cycling is allowed by Everyman's rights. It is not allowed to ride a bike outside roads and trails. Hiking trails can be challenging in places because of rocks, roots, and worn out duckboards. Gravel roads offer an easy option for biking.

Snowmobile route

The official snowmobile route maintained by the city of Oulu (ouka.fi) runs through the northern part of the Sanginjoki nature reserve. The route is maintained by the local municipalities. You can give feedback on the maintenance of the snowmobile route directly to the feedback system of the city of Oulu (ouka.fi). Please stay on the route! Driving outside the route always requires the landowner's permission. More information about safe snowmobiling can be found on the website of the Finnish Road Safety Council (liikenneturva.fi).

When snowmobiling, please note that there can be people on foot or on skis on the official route. Be considerate of other users on the route and use the appropriate speed for the situation.
