Welcome to Seitseminen Nature Centre

The Seitseminen Nature Centre is a treasure trove of nature information and a year-round base for hikers. Its exhibitions take you on a hike through the deep forest. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee. The Nature Centre provides restaurant services, guidance and topical hiking tips for you and your group.

Suitability: Suitable for the whole family, hikers, student groups of all ages, and other groups. The main exhibition, auditorium and café are accessible for wheelchairs. Also pets are welcome.

Directions and Maps

By Car

When arriving from the north, when you reach the Länsi-Aure village turn onto the Seitsemisentie road from the Kuru – Parkano road no. 332. When arriving from the south, turn onto road 2764 when you reach the Poikelus village, and then from the Ylöjärvi – Kuru road no. 65 onto the Seitsemisentie road. Signposts direct motorists to the Seitseminen National Park (Seitsemisen kansallispuisto) from the directions of Ylöjärvi (ylojarvi.fi, in Finnish), Parkano (parkano.fi, in Finnish) and Luhalahti (ikaalistenkylat.net, in Finnish). The Nature Centre has a parking area.

By Public Transportation

There is a daily bus service from Tampere to Kuru (26 km from the Nature Centre). There is a bus service (matkahuolto.fi) and train service (vr.fi) to Parkano (20 km from the Nature Centre). Note! The railway station is located approximately 6 km from central Parkano. From Kuru and Parkano, you can take a taxi.
