The campfire shelter is located at the southern end of Tyllylahti Bay on southern Kaamassaari Island in southern Lake Inari.

Facilities

  • There is a fire pit in the campfire shelter and a covered outdoor cooking spot with a fireplace and a gas cooker.
  • A pier, but no official swimming spot.

Notices

  • A boating base.
  • The border stone of Täyssinä (Tyavzino) peace treaty of 1595 is situated on the same island, around 1 km west of the campfire shelter.
  • Safety on hiking.
  • There is a recycling point at the campfire shelter, but hikers are asked to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
