The Emblem of Archipelago National Park - White-tailed Eagle The labyrinthine Archipelago Sea, off Southwestern Finland, has more islands than any other archipelago in the world. It has also been described as the world's most beautiful archipelago. The archipelago scene varies from larger islands dotted with rustic pastures and vibrant villages, to wild and windswept rocky islets. Scheduled ferry services take locals and trippers to the main islands all year round.

Suitability: Since the national park is only accessible by sea, a visit requires thorough planning. No services for visitors with mobility difficulties.

Trails: Ten nature trails on land (0.3–3km) introduce visitors to archipelago culture and nature and two underwater nature trails. Read more

Part of the Archipelago Sea and Archipelago Biosphere Reserve

The Southwestern Archipelago National Park is part of the Archipelago Sea and Archipelago Biosphere Reserve (www.skargardshavetsbiosfaromrade. fi). The goal of UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere (MAB) programme is to develop the living conditions of the area's inhabitants while maintaining the protection of nature and the environment.
