Experience nature on wings on Finland's finest wetland! The evening flights of the geese, the spring dance of the ruffs and the autumn migration of the common cranes are absolutely amazing. The Liminka Bay Visitor Centre also encourages inexperienced bird enthusiasts to explore the enchanting world of birds.

Experience nature on wings on Finland's finest wetland!

Location: In Liminka (, 35 km from the centre of Oulu and 5 km from the centre of Liminka. Read more.

Arrival: By car and public transportation. Read more.

Visit: The visitor centre is open all year round. There is no entrance fee to the visitor centre. Guided group tours cost 50€/group and they must be booked in advance. Read more.

Things to Do and See: The Eight Seasons of Birds exhibition (free of charge). The multimedia presentation entitled Life at Liminka Bay presents birdlife and the local natural features. A lot of activities for children, events all year round. Read more.

Suitability: Liminka Bay is an excellent location for families with children. Also suitable for the disabled. It is allowed to bring pets in the Visitor Centre (cafeteria-restaurant is not allowed) and to bird-watching tower.

Services: Five bird-watching towers, campfire sites, events, meeting services, nature education, information on tourist services in the nearby area, WLAN. A café-restaurant, accommodation and a nature-themed shop as well as services provided by the cooperating partners are also available. Read more.
