Welcome to Yllästunturi Visitor Centre

Kellokas Visitor Centre in Yllästunturi is the lounge, event centre, and nature window of all visitors in Ylläs. The centre provides information on Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, Finland's oldest hiking trail, and on accommodation, events, vibrant fell villages, and other popular features of the fell area. Wild North Cafe & Restaurant is on your service.

Location: In the municipality of Kolari (www.kolari.fi) in Western Lapland, by a scenic road in the wilderness between the villages of Ylläsjärvi and Äkäslompolo. Read more.

Visit: There is no entrance fee to the visitor centre. Guided group tours cost 50 €/group/hour and they must be booked in advance. Read more.

Things to Do and See: Meän elämää (Our Life) exhibition, events, short films, and video presentations on nature and culture, Kellokas Gallery and Our Gallery, Kino Kellokas movie theatre, a Logging Museum, outsider art yard, nature trails, and guided tours. Read more.

Suitability: Excellent for families with children. Suitable for the disabled when accompanied by an assistant.
