Gulf of Finland National Park is located on the Baltic Sea in front of the municipalities of Kotka, Hamina, Pyhtää and Virolahti.

To the Hiking Trails

The national park has marked trails on the islands of Ulko-Tammio and Mustaviiri. Trails begin in the harbours that are in the national park area.

By Boat to Gulf of Finland

The only sheltered harbour in the national park is located on Ulko-Tammio island.

In additionl, the islands of Koivuluoto, Lanskeri, Mustaviiri and Suuri-Pisi are accessible by keelboat in calm weather.

By Passenger Boat to Gulf of Finland

A regular boat runs from Kotka (visitkotkahamina.fi, in Finnish) to the inhabited islands of the national park area: Haapasaari, Kaunissaari, and Tammio.

By Taxi Boat to Gulf of Finland

The islands of the national park are also accessible by taxi boat (taksea.eu, in Finnish) from Hamina.

There are public cruises to Ulko-Tammio (meriset.fi, in Finnish) from Kotka.

By Public Transport to Kotka

Train (vr.fi) and bus (matkahuolto.fi) services can take you to Kotka, from where you can get to the Gulf of Finland National Park on a regular or taxi boat.
