Guivi / Kuivi Open Wilderness Hut

There are three new wood-colored buildings on the treeless fell. The mountain ridge is in the colors of brown.

Against the white wall of the hut are two bunk beds, the lower bunk of which is wider. There is a narrow vertical window between the beds.

The wilderness hut is situated on the northside of the River Kamajoki (Kamajohka) about 100 m towards Kuivi from the old boundary of Kevo Strict Nature Reserve.

Facilities

  • A wood-burning stove and a gas cooker.
  • A campfire site, a dry toilet and a woodshed.

Notices

  • Pets are permitted in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
  • The wilderness hut is situated within a strict nature reserve in which there are restrictions on hiking and camping.
  • Safety on hiking.
  • Kevo Strict Nature Reserve is a Hiking without Littering -area.  Avoid taking unnecessary waste into the area. Take all waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
