Fáškoluoppal / Vaskolompola Open Wilderness Hut

Sunny spring day, there is still a lot of snow, but the log cabin is already snow-free and the ground next to the cabin is already bare of snow.

Northern Lapland Region, Municipality of Inari, Lemmenjoki National Park.

The wilderness hut is situated to the east of the north end of Reposelkä Ridge on the south shore of a pond in the River Vaskojoki.

The log cabin is suited for winter use and was built in 1974.

Facilities

  • A wood-burning stove.

Notices

  • Pets are permitted in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
  • Safety on hiking.
  • There is a recycling point at the wilderness hut, but hikers are asked to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
