The boating base is located on the southeastern shore of Kahkusaari Island, northeast of Viimassaari Island in Lake Inari.
The boating base can be used in winter, too.

Facilities
A wood-burning stove and a gas cooker and a water bucket in a campfire hut, in a cooking shelter there is a gas cooker and a table-benches. A pier, a dry toilet, a firewood shelter and a campfire site.
Notices
Pets are permitted in the campfire hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
- There is a open wilderness hut on the same island.
Safety on hiking.
