Uáhujuuhâ Open Wilderness Hut (so called Oahujoki)

Northern Lapland Region, Municipality of Inari, Lemmenjoki National Park.

The wilderness hut is situated on the east side of Oahoaivi Fell on the east bank of the River Uáhujuuhâ (Oahujohka) at a point where two smaller rivers flow into it.

The wilderness hut is a log cabin built in 1973, and also suitable for use in winter.

Notices

  • Pets are permitted in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
  • Safety on hiking.
  • There is a recycling point at the wilderness hut, but hikers are asked to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
