Boastajohka / Postijoki Open Wilderness Hut

Sunny spring day, there is still a lot of snow, but the log cabin is already snow-free and the ground next to the cabin is already bare of snow.

The wilderness hut is situated on the north side of Naukusselkä Ridge about 2 km downstream from the headwaters of the River Postijoki and about 20 m east of the river shore.

The log cabin is suited for winter use and was built in 1972.

  • A wood-burning stove.

Notices

  • Pets are permitted in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
  • Safety on hiking.
  • There is a recycling point at the wilderness hut, but hikers are asked to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
