The wilderness hut is situated in-between two fells - Paaraskalla and Uurrekarkia - on the trail leading from Pokka to Lisma, 2 km south of the Kittilä-Inari municipal border.

The wilderness hut is a log cabin and also suitable for winter use. It was built in 1950 and renovated in 1994.

Facilities

  • No fireplace. The hut cannot be heated.

Notices

  • Pets are permitted in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
  • Safety on hiking.
  • There is a recycling point at the wilderness hut, but hikers are asked to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
