Welcome to Urho Kekkonen National Park Customer Service Saariselkä 

Customer Service in Saariselkä provides professional hiking and tourist information services. You may choose to hike from one wilderness hut to another towards Urho Kekkonen National Park, or perhaps make a canoe trip on Ivalojoki River, known for its gold-digging history. Customer service point is also the location of the tourist information point for Inari municipality.

6.12. - 31.12. Mon-Sun 9 am. - 4:30 pm.

On New Year´s Day 1.1. closed, on Epiphany 6.1. closed, 18.2. cloced, 26.4. open 9 am.- 2 pm, on Ascension Day 13.5. closed, 3.6. open 9am-2:30pm, on Midsummer's Eve 25.6. closed, on Independence Day 6.12. cloced, on Christmas Holidays 24.-26.12. closed.

By Car

  • The service point is located in Saariselkä by Main Road 4/E75 (Rovaniemi-Utsjoki), 30 km south of Ivalo and 260 km north of Rovaniemi. Kiehinen is located in the center of Saariselkä in the Santa´  s Hotel Tunturi Gielas building ground floor, which is opposite to Lapland Hotel Riekonlinna.

Permanent Exhibition

  • On Waters and Upper Reaches
    The exhibition On Waters and Upper Reaches takes us on an excursion to the canoe routes of the northernmost Lapland; it also tells about the water cycle of the region – from small brooks to the Arctic Ocean – in an interesting way.
