Liminganlahti Nature Centre is closed 1.1.-4.2.2022. The Finnish Nature Centre Haltia is closed 10.1.–1.2.2022. Koli Nature Centre Ukko is closed 1.1.–26.1.2022. Kuusamo Customer Service Karhuntassu is closed 13.1.–31.1.2022.

In other nature centers in Finland, we require the use of a facial mask and keeping the 2 meter distance to other visitors. In addition, there may be requirements to show the Covid pass, and/or the number of visitors can be limited. More information Nature centers. The length of the restrictions depends on the region. Hear the Call of the Bothnian Bay and Visit the Visitor Centre on Finland's Northernmost Sea!

Kalajoki Visitor Centre is the number one destination for visitors to the Bothnian Bay. It is located by the Kalajoki Sand Dunes. At our exhibition, you can take a plunge into the underwater world of the Bothnian Bay, study the lives of some of the famous folk who used to live here, or try to catch the biggest fish in Finland.

Visit: There is no entrance fee to the Visitor Centre. Guided group tours at the exhibition cost 50€/group/hour, and they must be booked in advance.  Read more.

Services: Guided tours, hiking information service. A café is available at the Sani Spa Hotel (kalajokiresort.fi). Services provided by the cooperating partners are also available.

Suitability: An excellent location for families with children. The main exhibition is accessible to all. It is allowed to bring pets in the Visitor Centre except those areas with textile upholstery (video room and submarine).

The Visitor Centre is managed by Metsähallitus and Kalajoki Keskusvaraamo.
