Customer Service and Guidance

  • There is no customer service in the area. There is an information board at the parking area.

Meals, Where to Buy and Prepare

  • The National Park has no water point.
  • There are no restaurant services in the National Park. The closest services can be found in the village of Siltakylä in the municipality of Pyhtää.

Day-use Hut and Campfire Site

  • The Moronvuori Day-use Hut (in Finnish) is located on the eastern edge of the park at the foot of Moronvuori Hill. A marked trail leads to the hut. There is a wood stove for preparing food but no dishes in the hut.
  • There is a campfire site on the grounds of the hut.
    • Please note that lighting campfires is also forbidden at campfire sites if the wildfire warning is in effect. Check the current warnings (ilmatieteenlaitos.fi). This prohibition does not apply to cooking shelters or other fireplaces with a shelter and a flue.

Waste Management

  • There are no waste-bins in the area so avoid bringing unnecessary waste into the area. Take all the waste that accumulates during your trip out of the National Park. 
  • Biodegradable waste should be placed in a dry toilet or composter, and small amounts of clean paper and cardboard can be used as kindling in a campfire.
