Directions

  • Bothnian Bay National Park is located in the northern-most part of the Baltic Sea, in the outer archipelago of towns of Tornio and Kemi. The area can only be reached by boat or - in winter - across ice.
  • In winter the islands closest to mainland can be reached on ski or by snowmobile. The Kemi - Tornio deep-water channel is kept ice free and therefore visitors can not access the outer islands from Kemi. Visitors must go to these islands by ski or snowmobile from Tornio, which is on the west side of the channel.
  • Driving directions to Kalajoki Visitor Centre.
