The wilderness hut is situated on the Hetta-Pallas Trail, 15 km from Hetta and 40 km from Pallas in the ravine between Pyhäkero Fell and Siosvaara Fell.

A stove, a gas cooker and basic cooking equipment.
Sioskuru Open Wilderness Hut has been renovated in the spring 2007.
The peak seasons for this hut are Easter holidays and the autumn´s ruska season. Pets are permitted in the hut, but only in case that other visitors agree with it. The building also houses a reservable wilderness hut for 8 persons. Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours. Take also your own toilet paper.
The closest recycling point is at Pyhäkero Open Wilderness Hut. The goal of the National Park is to be a litter-free area and hikers are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
