This open wilderness hut was previously a fire guard's home. It is situated at the top of Pookivaara Hill in Rokua National Park. It is on Keisarinkierros Hiking Trail (Emperor's Circle Trail) about 2 km south from the Wilderness Hotel Rokuanhovi and ski stadium. The hut was built in 1936 and functioned as a fire guard hut up to the year 1975.

Notices

Hikers must bring their own drinking water. The quality of the water in the well situated on the grounds of the hut has not been tested.
Pets are not permitted in the hut.

Waste Management

There are not waste bins at the hut. Hikers are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. The nearest recycling point is in Travel Centre Suppa (www.rokua.com, in finnish). Read more about Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
