The hut is located next to the hiking trail, 2 km north-west of Lake Martimojärvi.

Next to the duckboards leading to the Saunasaari open wilderness hut, about 130 meters from the Koivuselä open wilderness hut, is a spring named Laurinlähde. The quality of the spring water is not monitored, the water should be boiled before use.
