Seitseminen National Park offers unforgettable experiences and a range of activities in a stunning setting. Seitseminen Nature Centre provides information about the park's flora and fauna and the area's history, as well as tips on where to go and what to do. For a trip back in time, visit Kovero Crown Tenant Farm.

Parts of the park are closed to the public during certain times of the year. Please respect the signs!

Visit a Nature Centre

Seitseminen Nature Centre is an unbeatable source of information about the park. There are also two exhibitions about the area's versatile flora and fauna: Metsän Siimes (The Shelter of the Forest) and Metsäretki (Forest Expedition). Some nature documents about the park are shown in the auditorium. The centre also hires equipment and provides advice on planning excursions. The restaurant is a great place to end a day trip in the park.

Seitseminen Nature Centre is also a good venue for organising educational activities for children. The Nature Centre provides guided tours, and the auditorium can be hired for private use.

Visit a Heritage Farm

Kovero Crown Tenant Farm takes you back to the 1930s. Native breeds of livestock graze in the nearby meadows, and herbs and other plants that were traditionally used for medicinal purposes grow in the kitchen garden. Guides are at hand to take you around the buildings and tell you about life on the farm in the 1930s. If you are coming with a group, it is best to book a tour in advance.

The farm is located in the western parts of the park along the Seitsemisentie road. The farm is open to visitors throughout the summer. There are no guided tours in the winter, but the country idyll is still there for visitors to explore on their own.

Learn in Nature

Ancient woodland and wetland smelling of wild rosemary make for an inspiring learning environment. The Nature Centre offers many services for school groups, and the park is a great destination for day trips and longer school excursions. There are guided tours tailored for children of different ages, facilities and equipment for hire, as well as collections of plants and animals. Kortesalo farm can be hired for overnight use. The park's many trails and the Kovero Crown Tenant Farm are guaranteed to provide children with unique experiences and fun lessons in biology and history.
There are various entrepreneurs organising fun-filled and educational activities for school groups in the park. More information about learning opportunities and services for school groups are available from Seitseminen Nature Centre.
