Welcome to Saimaa Nature Centre Riihisaari

The historical setting of Olavinlinna Castle, surrounded by the scenic Lake Saimaa, makes Lake Saimaa Nature- and Cultural Centre Riihisaari a unique destination, where Savonlinna Provincal Museum and Metsähallitus operate together. Riihisaari is a meeting place and exhibition centre, providing experiences and information on the region's cultural history and natural landscape year-round.

Things to Do and See: Guided tours for groups, €80-100 per group, by advance booking only. Exhibitions: On the Pier, Life on the Shores of Lake Saimaa; Nestori, Saimaa Nature Exhibition; In the summer, museum ships are moored at the pier by Riihisaari and open to visitors. Temporary exhibitions, events, a short film on the Saimaa ringed seal. Read more
