What can one do in Ruostejärvi?

Walk on Marked Trails

There are numerous hiking trails in the area of varying lengths. The recreation area's trails are quite short and easy to travel and thus suited for families with children and the disabled. For those who want to set off on longer hikes there are connecting trails to, for example, the nearby national parks.

The municipality of Tammela maintains ski trail in the terrain and on the lake ice when snow conditions permit. The ski trails are accessible from the sports institute. Additionally visitors are welcome to ski off-trails in the terrain and on the lake ice. We ask that you note that currents and flowing water weaken ice and current points may alter during winter.
