Western Lapland Region, Municipality of Kittilä, south of Lemmenjoki National Park.

Hut is located about 15 km west from Pokka village, on the southern part of Raijankiselkä forest, on the headwaters of Kainulauttasenoja Stream, along the snowmobile trail.

Facilities

Fireplace, a dry toilet and a wood stove.

Notices

Water can be taken from a stream which is located about 300 m south from the hut.

Pets are permitted in the hut, but only in case that other visitors agree with it.

Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours. Take also your own toilet paper.

Safety on hiking

Waste Management

There are no waste management services at the hut. The goal of the National Park is to be a litter-free area and hikers are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Recycling points can be found at Yllästunturi Visitor Centre Kellokas, Pallastunturi Visitor Centre and Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
