Artankämppä Open Wilderness Hut (so called Artan kämppä)

Open wilderness hut for 3 persons.
Location
Northern Lapland, Inari region, Tsarmitunturi Wilderness Area.
Artankämppä, coordinates: Euref-Fin (~ WGS84) lat: 68° 40.7807' lon: 28° 19.0082' ETRS-TM35FIN: N: 7619217 E: 553426.
The hut is located about one kilometre northeast of Lake Pieni Arttajärvi.
The cabin was built in 2013 in place of a cabin that burned down during the 1990s.
Facilities
- A wood-burning stove and a gas stove.
Notices
- Pets are allowed in the hut, but only with the consent of the other visitors.
- Safety on hiking.
- There are no waste bins at the wilderness hut, so hikers are asked to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
